Business informatics/Business engineering

Diverse career prospects are open to graduates of the business informatics/business engineering study program. You will oversee the complex IT system landscape of a company, cooperate with engineering departments to develop automation concepts in the area of CAD systems or be responsible for software, web and database programming. In addition, the study program will equip you with the basic knowledge required to specialize further in the area of SAP support and consulting and actively contribute to the creation of business processes.

Training and educational content at EBZ:

  • Introduction to business processes
  • Basic training in the IT infrastructure and system architecture
  • Support and further development of the engineering software used (e.g. CATIA V5, Siemens NX or Process Simulate)
  • Support and further development of the SAP system used, including user support, process consulting, customizing and ABAP programming
  • Conducting of problem analyses, development of solution concepts, and implementation of new IT solutions
  • Preparation of project work and the bachelor thesis in the context of special IT projects
A dual student is learning to manage the company's complex IT system landscape.

  • Business informatics methods
  • Operating and communication systems
  • Web and database programming
  • Mathematics, statistics and operations research
  • ERP and applied business engineering (SAP as ERP system)
  • Fundamentals of business management and economics and commercial law
