The EBZ Group, a leading supplier to the automotive industry specializing in tool and plant engineering, has acquired a majority stake in AgTech startup Organifarms as of 1 July 2025. This strategic investment marks EBZ’s targeted expansion beyond the automotive sector into the field of sustainable and automated agricultural technologies.
As part of the transaction, the two previous managing directors and founders, Dominik Feiden and Hannah Brown, will step down from their roles and leave the company. The new management team at Organifarms will comprise co-founder Marian Bolz (CTO, Organifarms), Franz Wanner (CSO, EBZ Group), and Markus Müller (CFO, EBZ Group). This new leadership structure ensures entrepreneurial continuity while leveraging the technological expertise and financial strength of the EBZ Group — creating ideal conditions for the continued development of Organifarms. The focus will be on scaling existing technology into new agricultural sectors and product lines, as well as bringing the current solution to full market readiness. “With the EBZ Group as a strong strategic partner, we now have new opportunities — particularly in scaling our technology and accessing international markets,” said Marian Bolz, co-founder and Managing Director of Organifarms. “Dominik Feiden and Hannah Brown played a key role in building the team and successfully developing our solution over the past years. We thank them for their dedication and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.” The EBZ Group also views the investment as an important step toward the future: “As specialists in automation and industrial manufacturing, we aim to apply our expertise to new and sustainable industries,” said Franz Wanner, Chief Strategy Officer of the EBZ Group. “Organifarms has developed a forward-thinking technology that aligns perfectly with our strategic vision. Together, we want to advance the digitalization and automation of agriculture and unlock its potential for efficiency and sustainability.” The integration will be carried out gradually. The existing corporate culture, team, and ongoing projects will be preserved and purposefully further developed.
