Process mechanic

Our process mechanics employ mechanical and manual production methods to manufacture fiber composites of the highest quality for the aerospace sector. Skilled craftsmanship is essential to produce a superior-quality product that meets every customer specification in full. No two days are ever the same when it comes to the manufacture of prototypes and small-scale series. This apprenticeship allows you to gradually learn the tasks performed by the process mechanic specializing in fiber composite technology and, on successfully qualifying, demonstrate your flexibility in all of our production areas.

This is what you learn with us: 

  • Laminating of fiber composites with a variety of production processes, resins and textiles

  • Mechanical processing of fiber composites and the realization of large assemblies

  • Quality assurance in the production of aerospace components

  • Planning, optimizing and control of workflows and evaluation of the results

  • The fundamentals of machine and manual metalworking: Turning, milling, grinding, sawing, drilling, reaming, filing, thread cutting, cutting and forming

  • Fundamentals of control technology (e.g. pneumatics)

 

Duration of apprenticeship:

3 years
Apprenticeship begins on September 1st
