Electrical engineering/Automation

This study program will see you specializing in the area of automation and gaining ideal skills for your later career. The emphasis in this study program is on robotics and control technology in the complex production plants of the automotive industry. You will learn to plan and realize automation concepts, simulate and program robot movements, and play a leading role in the installation and commissioning of a body-in-white plant. The joining technologies used here and continuous technological progress make this area of activity multifaceted and varied.

Training and educational content at EBZ:

  • Fundamentals of metalworking and electrical engineering
  • Introduction to PLC technology and robot programming
  • Planning of production systems from the point of view of automation
  • Creation of 3D robot simulations and conducting of cycle time analyses and accessibility investigations
  • Simulation of production processes in the context of virtual commissioning
  • Installation and commissioning of production systems in EBZ and on site at the customer’s facility
  • Support of our project teams, taking scheduling, costs and quality into consideration
  • Preparation of practical dissertations, project work and the bachelor thesis in the product area
