History of the EBZ Group

A look back at the last 100 years

The EBZ Group can trace its roots back to the “Mechanische Werkstätte Anton Nothelfer & Söhne” which was established in Ravensburg in 1921 and became part of Thyssen Reinstahl AG in 1974. The current Chief Executives Thomas Bausch and Rainer Lotze established the Bausch & Lotze GmbH design office in 1993, following which they merged with Ziege & Wolf Konstruktionen in 1995 to form EBZ Engineering Bausch & Ziege GmbH.

2008 saw the takeover by the EBZ Group of the Ravensburg plant from ThyssenKrupp Drauz Nothelfer, uniting their company locations at the present headquarters in Ravensburg.
